Not really accurate


You can't blame WVU for accepting the Big East's all-sports invitation any more than WVU folks should blame Tech for accepting an invite to the ACC. Neither WVU nor Tech has ever really been in a true position of power.

The "blame" lies with the folks who did - or did not - extend the invitations. The real "blame" lies with schools like Syracuse and Boston College who valued northeastern basketball more than football and did not have the vision to see the future as far back as when Penn State wanted to join the Big East.
